In conjunction with the celebration of Tunkhannock’s Christmas in Our Hometown, December 7 and 8, area residents and business owners can adopt a street lamp and be part of the annual celebration.
“Each year the Tunkhannock Business and Professional Association works with Ebb’s Creative Landscapes to decorate the nearly 70 street lamps Tioga and Bridge streets with greens, lights and festive red bows”, according to Mark Monsey, TBPA Board president. “We ask area businesses and residents to be part of the festivities and adopt a street lamp. Tags are created for each adoption listing a message done in memory or honor of someone or simply a holiday message to share with the community.”
“Our goal is to have all of the town’s street lamps adopted this year,” relates Monsey. This gives everyone the opportunity to be a part of this important annual celebration. Adoption forms are available on the TBPA website www.tunkhannockbusiness.com.
